CCS's Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions concerning our Events, Webinars, Workshops, Luncheons, Seminars, and Conferences

Corporate Compliance Seminars (CCS) is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.nasbaregistry.org.

In accordance with the standards of the National Registry of CPE Sponsors, CPE credits will be granted based on a 50-minute hour.

CCS is subject to laws governing collection, use and/or disclosure of personal information (e.g., GDPR), CCS acknowledges and agrees that CCS is solely responsible for compliance with all applicable requirements under such laws, including those affecting CCS's ability to share personal information with NASBA, and CCS will take all such actions as may be necessary to permit sharing and disclosing personal information contained in accreditation records requested by NASBA. Such actions may include, depending on laws applicable to CCS, notifying attendees, instructors, reviewers and others about whom CCS collected personal information that CCS may share their information with third parties for purposes including evaluating CCS's accreditation under certain continuing professional education standards. Failure to take such actions necessary to comply with applicable law shall not excuse CCS's responsibility to comply with NASBA documentation requests.

Events, Webinars, Workshops, Luncheons, Seminars, and Conferences

These terms and conditions apply to all of our events, luncheons, training courses, seminars, and conferences. The  word 'event' is used to describe all of these.

Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

Any individual, organization or public entity that uses the Compliance-Seminars.com Website (the "Website") does so subject to these Terms and Conditions. Usage is tracked via the Google Analytics and these records will prevail as evidence of usage.

Legal Venue

All website users and event attendees agree use the Illinois State Court System with a venue in Cook County, Illinois for any and all legal actions. Illinois State law will control all contracts and legal activities.

Making an Event Registration

Any individual, organization or public entity that contacts CCS via verbal contact, telephone contact, fax transmission, email, written contact or website usage can establish an Event Registration. CCS may confirm that registration via email message or verbal confirmation. CCS personnel are the sole determinate of wheather an event reservation has been made.

Payment

Payment must be received by ten business days prior to the event.

Our preferred method of payment is via credit card using the payment processing provided on this website. If you choose to require an invoice, there maybe a $50.00 invoice processing fee.

CCS may assess a $50 fee for the preparation of an invoice. Any fees for seminars are considered past due on the date of the event. CCS can assess a $500.00 fee for each thirty days that fees are overdue. If CCS initiates a bill collection process, a fee of $250 per hour will be changed for all CCS staff time and the debtor will be responsible for all court cost and legal fees.

Cancelling a Registration

No refunds will be given. We will provide you with a credit for use within the next twelve months.

Cancellation by Corporate Compliance Seminars

We reserve the right to alter published programs, speakers, and venues without prior notice. If the event has to be cancelled altogether, we will notify you by email message at least four days in advance of the event. Our liability is limited to a full refund of the event fee only. No compensation will be paid for any other costs incurred by the attendee, such as travel or accommodation.

Corporate Compliance Seminars accepts no liability if an event is cancelled or postponed for reasons beyond our reasonable control.

Transferring Your Registration to Someone Else

If you are unable to attend, you can send someone else in your place. Please notify us in advance so that we can update our registration list.

Granting of CPE Credits

Certificates for CPE or CEU will be issued after the presentation of the event via an email provided PDF. No CPE/ CEU credits or certificates will be issued to attendees who have not paid in full for the seminar.

Liability

Corporate Compliance Seminars does not accept responsibility for anyone acting as a result of information or views expressed by speakers. Attendees should take specific advice when dealing with specific situations. Opinions expressed are those of individual speakers and not necessarily those of the Corporate Compliance Seminars.

Use of this Website

Please read this carefully as it affects your legal rights and sets out the terms and conditions on which Corporate Compliance Seminars ("CCS") will allow you to use this website and the information contained within it. The website is offered to you conditionally on your agreement with these terms and conditions and your continued use of it signifies agreement with them in their entirety and without modification.

CCS assumes your use of this website and its contents provides CCS with blanket permission to contact members of your organization concerning CCS programs and offers for the next three years.

Limitation of Liability and Disclaimers

CCS endeavors to ensure that the information in the website is accurate and helpful at all times. However, CCS cannot ultimately warrant the accuracy of that information and cannot be held liable for any use or reliance you may make of or put on it except as specifically agreed with us in any further agreement CCS may make with you in writing.

CCS events or any portion thereof may not be reproduced without express written permission.  Your attendance at our seminar constitutes your agreement not to reproduce all of it or any portion thereof.

Privacy Policy

Corporate Compliance Seminars (CCS) values the privacy of its customers, affiliates, and visitors to its websites and is strongly committed to each visitor's right to privacy. This privacy policy has been developed as a codification of CCS's commitment in this area.

By using CCS's websites, you signify your acceptance of our privacy policy. If you, as a visitor, register for courses or events, purchase services, or otherwise submit personally identifiable information, you are consenting to CCS's use of such data in accordance with its privacy policy.

It is the intent of CCS to be in compliance with the principles of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act of Canada, the European Union Safe Harbour Act, the Data Protection Act of the United Kingdom, and selected legislation worldwide regarding privacy of data. This policy guides how CCS stores and uses personal information that is collected by CCS or provided to CCS, whether through our websites or by other methods such as an application, enrollment, registration or order form, or other means. This policy covers all of CCS's websites. However, this policy does not cover affiliate websites whether or not linked to CCS's sites.

Collection and Use of Information

Even if you do nothing during your visit other than navigate a CCS website, read pages, or download information, we will automatically gather and store certain information about your visit. In order to ensure our websites are as useful and effective an information source as they can be, we analyze information that identifies visitors by categories such as the location of visitors (by domain, not by personal email address) and browser types. We also measure, in the aggregate, indicators such as number of visits, average time spent on the sites, and pages viewed. CCS uses these statistics to improve site content and usability; this information does not identify visitors personally.

However, when a visitor enters an email address obtained by the means described above on an CCS website for the purpose of requesting services, information production or registration for an event CCS will retain that email address in the CCS customer information system.

CCS may use personally identifiable information you have voluntarily provided on our websites or by other means to notify you via e-mail or printed material of CCS events or other relevant products and services offered by CCS. If you do not want to receive notice of such events, you may choose to opt out by the means detailed in the "Opting Out" section of this policy.

Disclosure of Information to Third Parties

If you voluntarily provide CCS with personally identifiable information, CCS may share personal information with companies, organizations or individuals outside of CCS when we have your consent to do so. CCS requires opt-in consent for the sharing of any sensitive personal information. CCS may release information on a selective basis to outside organizations whose products and services are of perceived benefit. These organizations include, but are not limited to:

CCS may provide mailing information to other organizations whose products and services are of perceived benefit. If you do not want CCS to provide your personally identifiable information to third parties or as noted above, please see "Opting Out" section of this policy.

Disclosure of Information for Legal Reasons

CCS will share personal information with companies, organizations or individuals outside of CCS if CCS has a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to:

Meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.
Enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations.
Detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues.

Protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of CCS, our members or the public as required or permitted by law.

There are other instances in which CCS may divulge your personal information. CCS may provide your personal information if necessary, in CCS's good faith judgment, to comply with laws or regulations of a governmental or regulatory body or in response to a valid subpoena, warrant or order, or to protect the rights of CCS or others.

Disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information to Third Parties

CCS requires opt-in consent for the sharing of any sensitive personal information.  Sensitive personal information is a particular category of personal information relating to confidential medical facts, racial or ethnic origins, political or religious beliefs or sexuality.

Right of Access

CCS is dedicated to providing reasonable access to its customers and others who want to review their personal information maintained by CCS and correct any inaccuracies therein.  Customers and others may verify and/or change their data by emailing johnb@cseminars.com. CCS, however, is not responsible for verifying the continued accuracy of either customer or others information.

Security

Although CCS does not monitor the websites, CCS has reasonable policies in place to protect from misuse the personally identifiable information provided by its users.

CCS's websites contain "links" to other sites. CCS does not control, and is not responsible for, the accuracy, timeliness, security, or even the continued availability or existence of this outside information. Opinions expressed on other sites linked from CCS's websites are not necessarily those of CCS, nor does CCS endorse, warrant, or guarantee products or services described or offered on those other sites. Neither is CCS responsible for the contents of any websites that choose to link to CCS's websites with or without CCS's consent.
